Just after the New Year's Day, the Kauswagan project sent its first news of victory: after 10 days' hard working, the project operated by O&M has successfully finished boiler #1 steamblowing. The steamblowing procedure is strictly performed on boiler system, startup boiler system, coal handling system, and fuel oil system, which promotes of Unit 1's rolling and grid-connection as well as energization.
Boiler #1 steamblowing 1 began on 30th December 2018. At the technical disclosure meeting on that day, the SPCTI manager introduced key technical points including blowing paths, safety risks and relative measures. Our project leader Lingquan Meng as well as Hongzhi Nie emphasized that operation personnel must operate carefully in order to guarantee successful steamblowing.
Careful Operation of Operation Personnel
At 2:30 on 31st December 2018, after the preparation of safety and isolation measures, the startup boiler start, air pre-heaters and sootblowers pipe-warming, and water quality test, boiler #1 successfully ignited and started as cold-state warming and boosting curve. After pipe-warming has been finished, boiler #1 steamblowing started at 7:30 and implemented as 3 stages.
Target plate acceptance checked by GNPK
The first stage: it lasted 9 hours and 30 minutes and finished at 17:00 on 31st December. Steamblowing totally accounts for 16 times and the effective ones are 10 times. The second stage: it lasted 15 hours and finished at 18:33 on 5th January, its steamblowing totally accounts for 50 times and the effective one are 43 times. The third stage: it lasted 30 hours and finished at 22:58 on 8thJanuary, which steamblowing totally accounts for 168 times and the effective one are 166 times. In these tests, target plates #124 and #125 were acceptable after primary air; #164, #165 and #166 plates were acceptable by secondary air. Then boiler #1 steamblowing had been finished successfully.
