Introduction to Large-scale Fossil-fired Power Generation & Operation Contract Projects 1)

1) Indonesia INDRAMAYU 3*330MW Power Plant

INDRAMAYU 3 * 330MW coal-fired power station is one of the largest installed capacity power plants with the most Chinese equipments under construction in Indonesia at present. It will become the backbone power plant of Indonesia national power generation group after completion. O&M Power has participated in the commissioning and trial operating contract of this project.

Boiler:

The boiler for Indonesia PLTU1 INDRAMAYU 3*330MW coal-fired power plant is manufactured by Babcock&wilcox Beijing Company Ltd whose model is B&WB-1050/18.44-M. The configuration of this boiler is as follows: sub-critical pressure, once intermediate reheating, natural circulating, single furnace, balance ventilation, opposed combustion between front wall and rear wall, solid slag discharging, outdoor arrangement, and full-steel suspended structure. The design coal is lignite in local and the oil for ignition and combustion-supporting is HSD oil.

Turbine:

The turbine is supplied by Beijing Beizhong Steam Turbine Generator Co., Ltd whose model is N330-17.75/540/540. And the type of it is as follows: once intermediate reheating, single-shaft three-casing and double steam exhaust condensing turbine. The operation mode is mainly to on base load, additionally, it also can perform peak value adjusting work.

Electrical:

INDRAMAYU power plant has installed 3*330MW sub-critical coal-fired water-cooled generator sets made in China and 150KV switchgear. The four outgoing lines are connected to Indonesia 150KV system.

I&C

This project uses the centralized control of turbine, boiler and generator and applies American Foxboro system. This unit adopts DCS (distributed control system), through which startup, shutdown operation monitoring control, troubleshooting, management and other functions for turbine, boiler, generator and its auxiliary systems can be realized in CCR (central control room) under a rear cooperation of the local operators and operations.

This project uses the coal from SUMATERA and KALIMANTAN, delivered by barge and supplied through coal jetty constructed in the power plant. The cooling system uses seawater from Java Island and it applies once through cooling mode. There is seawater desalination station installed inside of power plant. The water after being desalinated is used as service water and boiler makeup water.

Unit operation mode: the unit of this project is mainly to be on base load and it is also capable of adjusting peak value. The unit can be started up and the load can be increased under cold state, warm state, hot state and super hot state. The unit also has RB function, to be adaptable to load limit working condition, and to constant pressure and sliding pressure working condition as well.

This power plant construction was started in Sep 1997. On Oct 19th, 2010, unit #1 had passed 168-hour reliable trial running test. O&M Power had accomplished items such as trial running, operation during warranty period, performance test, and overhaul during warranty period and etc. during commissioning process. Our technical engineers are competent to implement commissioning test, unit startup and troubleshooting under normal and abnormal working conditions for coal-fired power plant above 300MW, during which they also have fulfilled manual compilation, trainee's position training and other technical services
