2) Indonesia Rembang 2X315MW Unit Power Plant Project

Rembang power plant project is in central Jawa island of Indonesia, which is invested and established by Indonesia National Power Corporation (PT PLN(PERSERO)). Phase-1 2X (300-400MW) coal-fired power plant units are built up there for relieving the power supply demand in this island. The project, which includes 2 sets of coal fired power generation units with 300MW to 400MW capacity for each and the related auxiliaries, is located in the village TAHARAN of east Rembang city, central Jawa, Indonesia.

The EPC contractor of Rembang power plant project is a Consortium (ZELAN-PRIAMANAYA-TRONOH CONSORTIUM) whose headquarter is in Malaysia. The consortium signed the EPC contract with Indonesian National Power Corporation (PT PLN) on 21st, March, 2007. NWPower serves as the technical consultant in commissioning and operation supervision.

DEC (Dongfang Electric Corporation) provides BTG island design and equipment for Rembang project, including system designs like BTG island, ash slag handling system, flue gas duct, startup boiler room, hydrogen generation station, circulating water pump house. Besides, it also includes the design, manufacturing, testing, packing and transportation of the relative equipment and materials as well as guidance and trainings for equipment and system commissioning, operation and maintenance.

The main equipment in the power plant (Boiler, turbine and generator) are all manufactured by Dongfang Boiler Group Co. Ltd. For boiler, whose type is DG1025/18.3 2 19, it is of subcritical parameters, tangential firing mode with natural circulating steam drum and of single furnace with 2 type arrangement. It uses lignite. It is once reheating, equalizing ventilation, solid slag discharging, whole steel framework and fully suspended structure, with metal rainproof cover on the roof. For boiler auxiliaries, induced draft fan, forced draft fan and primary air fan are made in Shenyang Blower Works Group Corporation. As for turbine, it is manufactured by Dongfang Turbine Group Co. Ltd. The turbine type is N30016.7/538/5388. It is subcritical, intermediate reheating, double-casing double exhaust and condensing type. The steam distribution is totally electrically controlled valves. Turbine DEH system is adopted with HP electro-hydraulic control (EH oil). Two BFPTs of capacity 50% for each and one MBFP of capacity 30% serve as the boiler feedwater pump there. The circulating water is seawater open-loop circulation and the cooling water is with open and closed systems. The generator is manufactured by Dongfang Electric Machinery Co. Ltd, whose type is QFSM300220B hydrogen cooling unit. Its standard level is IEC600343 and manufacturing number is HD186112. The generator is with Y connection and manufactured in September, 2008. The major auxiliaries and the materials are purchased from China. The design of BTG island is by Southwest Electric Power Design Institute.

Through participating in the individual commissioning, system by system commissioning and whole-set startup and operation work, NWPower has accumulated rich experience in the operation and troubleshooting for straight blow type, tangential circle combustion and solid slag discharging type pulverized coal boiler with the evaporation capacity of 1025T/H. They have laid a solid foundation for the future further development of our company.
