Introduction to Seawater Desalination Project

Seawater Desalination System of Rembang 2X300MW Power Plant in Indonesia

The seawater desalination of this project utilizes low temperature multi-effect distillation technique, and equipment output is 4500t/d. Furthermore, SWRO desalination system is applied to auxiliary boiler makeup water system.

The system adopts the technique of a combination of ultra-filtration (UF) and RO membrane, and the system output is 20t/h.

System process is as follows:
Well water-- raw water tank-- raw water pump -- auto-cleaning filter-- UF device--  clean water tank-- clean water pump--  primary RO device-- primary demineralized water tank-- primary demineralized water pump-- secondary RO device-- secondary demineralized water tank-- secondary demineralized water pump-- auxiliary boiler makeup water tank.

•Valves, pipes, and auxiliaries in the system
•Control and electrical devices, local instruments and auxiliaries.
The equipment status and major parameters of water treatment system can be monitored by control system in boiler makeup water control room. Through REMOTE operation mode, the startup, shutdown and control of equipment can be performed in the control room and no monitoring personnel are required. Besides, interlock protection, alarm and REMOTE/LOCAL switchover are also available in the control system.
