Navruz originates from Farsi, which means a new day. Navruz Festival happens to be the same day of vernal equinox in China, symbolizing spring returning to the good earth, everything coming back to life and the beginning of a new year on which people place their excellent hopes. The President of Tajikistan would personally authorize the logo of Navruz Festival every year.

Since the establishment of Tajikistan Project, O&M Power has given full play to the corporate spirit of unifying all personnel from upper to lower layer, under the guidance of building an elaborate project of O&M Power, thus achieving safe, sound and continuous operation of Dushanbe Thermal Power Plant #2, making it a year with the longest operation time as well as the safest operation status in the past 5 years. To commend the long-term and uninterrupted safety operation of the Power Plant, the Owner, the Department of Energy and State Power Corporation of Tajikistan, decided to hold the 2019 annual Navruz in the Thermal Power Plant #2; meanwhile, the Owner also invited project personnel of O&M Power to enjoy the happiness together with them.

The CEO of State Power Corporation of Tajikistan, Ismoilov, highly praised the safe, sound and stable operation of Thermal Power Plant #2 in his opening speech, showed gratitude to the hardwork of all O&M Power personnel in bringing electric power and heating to Tajikistan in the winter, and hoped that O&M Power personnel could participate and enjoy the beautiful Festival with them.

There were a lot of people participating into this Navruz Festival, mainly including leaders of the Department of Energy and State Power Corporation of Tajikistan, Project Department personnel of O&M Power and surrounding residents. The banquet venue was filled with flying colorful flags, banners with greetings, beautiful dances, sonorous singing, delicious local cuisines, such as pilaf, cakes and pastries, fruits, etc., as well as exquisite handicrafts exhibit.

This grand banquet is held in Tajikistan Project Department of Shaanxi O&M Power Co., Ltd., which is not only the recognition on technology and operation quality of O&M Power made by the Department of Energy and State Power Corporation of Tajikistan, but also the witness on the friendship between China-Tajikistan people. Moreover, it has enabled us to proceed with confidence, spurred on us to make persistent efforts to make true contribution to electric power construction along the Belt and Road, and to the Tajiks.
