Thermal power plant No. 2 has solved the problem of winter heating for more than 500,000 people in Dushanbe.
On June 12th, 2019, Xi Jinping, Chinese President, published a signed article in Tajik media on the eve of his visit to Tajikistan. In the article, it was written that the Dushanbe thermal power plant No. 2, which is launched byO&M Power , has made the winter power shortage in Tajik Capital a history and it is a model project of China-Tajikistan cooperation.
CCTV, Phoenix Satellite TV, People's Daily and other major domestic media also carried special reports on Dushanbe thermal power plant No.2 in Tajikistan, which was operated by O&M Power Director of thermal power plant No. 2 Murod Yusupov, in an interview with reporters said "The successful operation of the thermal power plant No.2 has made the winter power rationing in the Capital a thing of the past. At the same time, it has solved the heating problem for more than half a million people in the capital and provided a large number of local jobs. It is a true and genuine project for the people and a good example of cooperation between Tajikistan and China, which is attributed to cooperation with China on the basis of equality and mutual trust.
