Introduction to Simulation Equipment and System

1) Fossil Fuel-fired Power Plant Simulation System

1000MW Ultra-Supercritical Fossil Fuel-fired Power Plant Simulators
The simulators are designed based on the prototype of ultra-supercritical unit of coal-fired power plant originated in China, covering the simulation of normal operation, startup process, shutdown process, and around 500 fault conditions and emergencies associated with Boiler, Turbine, Electrical, and I&C system.

600MW Supercritical Fossil Fuel-fired Power Plant Simulators
The simulators are designed based on the prototype of supercritical unit of coal-fired power plant originated in China, covering the simulation of normal operation, startup process, shutdown process, and around 500 fault conditions and emergencies associated with Boiler, Turbine, Electrical, and I&C system.

300MW Fossil Fuel-fired Power Plant Simulators
The simulators are designed based on the prototype of 300MW unit of coal-fired plant originated in China; it features real-time information, high simulation accuracy, high adaptability, etc. Up to now, over 60 trainings on operators from home and abroad have been conducted using this system, more than 20 of which are over 45-day-long trainings on all-around operators. The trainings are widely acclaimed. 
 
300MW/135MW CFB Unit Simulators
The simulators are designed based on the prototype of 300MW CFB unit. As the first CFB simulator in Northwest China, this system presents integrated troubleshooting experience of many CFB units in China, providing simulation of all kinds of fault conditions. With real-time information, high simulation accuracy, and high adaptability, training for operators and all-around operators is available.




2)2X100MW Oil Fired Power Plant Simulation System

O&M Power`s Oil fired power plant simulation system is furnished with both Chinese and multi-language version, and uses multi-modeling mode. It can be used in simulation operation of 100MW, 135MW and 300MW unit. The system is of high efficiency and using full graphical interface and user-friendly design, in which most of the operation can be performed by mouse and keyboard. There is no additional requirement to memorize operational instructions.

The simulator system can simulate every partial operation from cold state to hot state of power plant and the complete static process and dynamic process of units. It can show the whole process of ignition, temperature increasing, pressure increasing, rolling, warm-up, synchronization, load increasing until full load running, shutdown and load rejection. The simulation operation is in accordance with the DCS on-load operation, such as operation of MOV, air damper, control valve, PID regulator, interlock, synchronization, value setting, startup and shutdown of motors of fans or pumps.

A major feature of this system is that simulation can be realized in one computer. Based on this feature, the system focuses on operation and reaction interlocked, instead of simulation based on model operation.

3)Gas Turbine Unit Simulators

O&M Power`s training center also provides gas turbine unit simulation training. The simulators are equipped with GE9E simulation system and GE9F simulation system. The simulator room is furnished with trainer station, DCS operator station, MARK V gas turbine control station, MARK VI turbine control station, emergency control panel, local control station, and GE MARK VI engineer station.

The simulators make the following training programs available: operation training, I&C training, control logic inspection, optimized operation analysis, etc.
Standard Curriculum is based on the 13 gas turbine operation posts; an individual training schedule is designed for each post, and another 12 specialized training subjects are available as supplementary curriculum.

The 13 posts are: Gas-steam Combined Cycle assistant operator, operator, and shift leader; Oil Treatment assistant operator and operator; Gas Turbine Operation Department assistant operator and operator; HRSG assistant operator and operator; Steam turbine assistant operator and operator; Electrical assistant operator and operator.

The 12 additional subjects are: theoretical presentation of Gas Turbine Combined Cycle techniques; Gas Turbine technical training; HRSG technical training; Oil Treatment technical training; Electrical primary system technical training; Electrical secondary system training; Electrical operation technical training; I&C technical training; Technical English (terminologies and alarm signals); simulation training; and plant-practice.

Trainee-oriented training schedule: the training center also makes training plans according to the specific requirement by the gas turbine trainees.

With both Chinese and English simulation systems available on the above mentioned simulators, O&M Power is competent and ready to carry out simulation trainings for oversea trainees.
